At Home Weight Loss

There is a ton of false information regarding at home weight loss. Many people kill themselves on the treadmill and do not ever reach their goals. I’m going to attempt to clarify several common mistakes people make on their way to dropping the pounds.

The Health Club

The Health Club is great way to get in shape and spend your hard earned money. In fact, one of the best ways to workout is with a personal trainer at a gym. This will work, in time you will look and feel better. Although, it isn’t easy. Everyone in the history of the world has joined the gym with only the best intentions. Although, as time passes these intentions quickly turn into regrets. It is the #1 way to feel BAD about yourself. Why can’t I get up and go? I haven’t been to the gym in a week? I will never turn this around.

Now you’re upset, lack motivation and you still don’t look and feel better. I don’t know about you, but I am busy with work and my family, driving to the gym everyday is not realistic.

Goals

Goals are a very tricky thing. If your goals are too high, there is a greater chance of giving up. If too low, you will not see the results you have been hoping for. There are two rules that should always be followed, set a goa that will work and set an end date. If you haven’t worked out recently, make your goal like this

Eating: I will not partake in one bad food for 90 days. This could be eating a healthier breakfast or cutting out your afternoon snack. Believe it or not, this simple change could have dramatic affects.

Exercise: I’m going to workout for 30 minutes per day, two days per week, for the next three months. Once again, this goal is achievable and you will receive results.

Learning: On every step of your journey, you should learn all you can. We have all received a load of bad information over the years. I know there are a million diet plans out there and some work great, while others do not. The fact is, they are all very inexpensive and if you get one thing from each program you know plenty in no time. Try to go through one program per three month period. However, no matter what the program suggests never do anything that is not 100% achievable.

Once the goal expires, set a new one. You should not jump into a 5-day a week routine yet. Just add a bit to each category. For example, you can cut out one more bad habit and add one 30 minute workout per week. This second goal should also expire in 90 days.

Always be sure to keep a diary of your activities, this will help motivate you to continue.
