Self Hypnosis Books

Dizzy and a bit sick after hypnosis?
I have bought a Self help book by Paul McKenna to make me a happier person. It really is making a massive difference as it reprogrammes the subconscious to have positive thoughts. The only problem is that I feel really light headed because of it. I also feel kind of sick in my stomach. I am just wondering if this is normal? as I probably should expect side effects if i am trying to change my brain chemistry?I don’t want to stop following the book and hypnosis because i think it really is making me a better person. Any advice? anyone experience these things before?
Hi there, sorry to hear that you are experiencing these difficulties. While Hypnotism can cause headaches and other symptoms in extreme circumstances, it is somewhat unlikely that this is the case with one of Paul Mckenna’s books. Headaches can only usually occur if the subject is being given commands very frequently that require them to do very contrasting activities. (such as many repetitive commands to ‘sleep’ and ‘wake up’ It is certainly sound advice to seek a doctors opinion on the cause of the headaches, and you should most likely mention that you believe that the cause of the problem is the self help book. Im glad to hear that you feel hypnotism is helping you though…It really is a wonderful tool. Best wishes
