Hypnosis is similar to meditation but a key difference is its emphasis on specific goals. A specific issue and desired outcome are integral to hypnotherapy. Quartz crystal singing bowls, when used for healing, are also directed toward a specific issue and desired outcome. Hypnosis induction, used in combination with a specific sound vibration, or bowl choice, may be intuitive but strategy can also be implemented.
If, for instance, the issue is insecurity and lack of stability and prosperity, one could establish, through interview, positive suggestions the subject wishes to have impressed upon their subconscious. A suggestion might be, ” My world is safely designed by my own wisdom and safe choices”. Prosperity and security ane now coming into my life quickly.A facilitator can entwine the sounds of the quartz crystal singing bowls, especially a bowl that is tuned to middle ‘C’ with hypnotic suggestions, in the process of induction. The Root chakra (spiritual center) located at the base of the spine resonates with the tone, middle ‘C’. This center can become out of balance and alignment and with the help of the tones can be reset, reactivated, and energized. A state of well being can be returned to the person and the chakra restored to its natural easy counterclockwise spin by using a combination of healing thought patterns and a chakra cleansing with the crystal bowl sound.
Because the sound is very profound and organic, it can enhance a deep hypnosis and even a meditative state. Personally, I like to play the bowl for about 60 second intervals in between my words designed for induction and suggestion. A suggestion such as, “Perhaps now that you are relaxed, you could open up to the rich risource that mother earth provides for this planet and all who live here”. Then the bowl is played for 60 seconds to allow that suggestion to sink into the subconscious and the sound to open the root chakra.

In another instance a person may have an issue with self expression. Maybe they have difficulty speaking up for thermselves or are challenged with performance anxiety, or maybe they want to impove their singing. Hypnosis can be used to release inhibitions or the childhood fear of judgment by loosening up restrictions around the vocal cords. Perhaps by discussing the desired outcome it could be decided to use a suggestion such as, “My voice opens up freely to express who I am – easily and naturally.” The quartz crystal singing bowls can be used in this case to stimulate, align, and balance the throat chakra. To help the voice and throat to open up I would use the bowl tuned to ‘G’ as this note resonates to the throat chakra.
People’s response to this techniques has been surprising and quite remarkable. The profound sound of the bowls can be felt in a way that reconnects a person with their natural homeostasis.
