Pokemon Heart Gold Team?

Here’s my planned team for Heart Gold. I’m really just going for a cool looking team that can sweep the in game trainers, meaning this is NOT an online team. The only problem I have with this team is that a lot of these pokemon can only be found later in the game (I’ve got three badges and only Bayleef and Noctowl so far). I just don’t want to end up grinding 3 or 4 pokemon right before the elite 4 ya know? Any suggestions for pokemon and/or movesets are much appreciated. ^_^

I did the same thing when I played I used 2nd generation only-
My team was Meganium,Noctowl,Houndoom,Togetic(did`nt evolve it),Tyrantiar and Snesel
Anyway I would rate your team 8/10 good Pokemon’s
heres how you can improve it Meganium should forget sludge bomb teach it synthesis in its place and if you want replace giga drain with sunny day.(Synthesis gets more HP than Giga drain unless you are fighting against a pokemon who has weakness against grass but then your Hp would be high anyway)
Octillery`s attacks are looking good but there is no reason to keep flamethrower as ice beam would deal with grass anyway so teach it anything you want you pick)
Noctowl looks cool but don`t depend on fly to much as noctowl lacks attack
Houndoom is also looking suggest but I would sugest you replace anyone move for a normal attack in case you run into sharpedos with houndoom as your last pokemon)
Elctrode is well a good choice but I can`t help you with that as I never raised one so sorry
T-tar could dowith a better move aerial ace is not a good choice later sure it takes care of grass but I would suggest something else)
